Désirée joined Linklaters Luxembourg in April 2021 after having previously worked in the investment funds’ practice of other leading Italian and international law firms in Milan.

Désirée specializes her practice on regulatory aspects related to alternative investment funds (covering a broad range of asset classes) as well as retail investor funds (UCITS and UCIs), financial services and securities law. The main clients are cornerstone investors, alternative investment fund managers, funds initiators, banks, investment firms and financial institutions.

She advises on the establishment of funds, in particular with regard to the preparation of fund documentation (prospectus, articles of association, etc.).

She also has previous experience in assisting regulated entities on a wide range of banking and regulatory aspects covering also the payment industry and fintech sector. She has assisted clients in particular (but not exclusively) with the licensing of banks, electronic money institutions, as well as with compliance matters related to AML, MiFID 2, PSD 2 and prudential requirements. 

She has further been involved in advising a number of clients on various SFDR and taxonomy related topics and workstreams.

Désirée is also part of working groups of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI).
