  • Ruth Knox: Managing Associate at Linklaters. Ruth is an Environmental and Product Regulation lawyer who advises on the allocation and management of ESG, health and safety and product stewardship liabilities in corporate and project finance transactions.  She has led the development of the firm’s practice in respect of a number of regulatory areas including the Task Force on Climate related financial disclosures (TCFD), fiduciary duties and ESG factors, the EU Energy Efficiency Directive and UK carbon reporting.
  • Julia Vergauwen: Managing Associate at Linklaters. Julia is a Managing Associate in the funds team and one of the leading individuals within Linklaters driving the ESG initiative. She works on a cross-practice and cross-jurisdictional bases which ensures integrated and holistic ESG advice to major asset management clients. Julia has deep understanding of technicalities of the EU Sustainable Finance initiatives (including the Taxonomy Regulation and the SFDR) and the commercial aspects of sustainable finance.
  • Katherine Scott: Senior Legal Counsel at Macquarie Asset Management. Katherine is an Associate Director in the legal team at Macquarie Asset Management (MAM). In partnership with the Sustainability team, Katherine is leading the implementation of SFDR across MAM’s public and private markets businesses.  
  • Adrian Whelan: Global Head of Market Intelligence at BBH. Adrian is the Global Head of Market Intelligence and BBH and passionate about helping clients identify and interpret regulatory change. He is focused on articulating the impacts to clients and their businesses and highlighting the opportunities they can create. Through active industry engagement, Adrian acts as an advocate for our clients’ interests. He is the lead contributor to BBH’s On The Regs blog, and regularly shares insights on global regulatory topics there and across social media.  Adrian is also a regular conference speaker and contributor to trade media on all aspects of asset management. Prior to joining BBH in 2011, Adrian worked in a number of global custody banks as well as running a regulatory consulting firm.  Adrian is active with many asset management industry advocacy groups including the Investment Company Institute, Irish Funds and the Investment Association. He is a member of BBH’s Executive Sustainability Council, as well as several industry groups focused on ESG.  Adrian is also a very active and vocal contributor to diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, including BBH BANC Networks and several external campaigns.
