Cosmin-Laurențiu OLTEANU

Cosmin has over two decades of experience in impact investment and financial inclusion. He has been involved in the creation and management of several impact-focused financial institutions in Africa and emerging markets. In executive and advisor roles, he has supported these institutions in navigating strategic, operational, and digital transformation challenges. As former CEO of AB Bank Zambia, he led a successful institutional turnaround, marked by substantial growth in outreach and solid financial performance. His background also includes board-level mandates with impact-oriented commercial banks and investment funds. He currently serves as Investment Officer at the European Investment Bank, in charge of institutional and strategic funds.

Cosmin holds a Executive Master in International Development from the Graduate Institute in Geneva and a Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership from MIT Sloan. He speaks Romanian, English, French, Spanish and German.
