About LuxFLAG:
LuxFLAG (Luxembourg Finance Labelling Agency) is an independent, non-profit organization based in Luxembourg that plays a key role in advancing sustainable finance globally. LuxFLAG provides labelling and verification services for financial products that integrate Impact, ESG, or Transition considerations, according to transparent and robust eligibility criteria. LuxFLAG offers three categories of Labels: ESG Label, Impact Labels and Transition Label.
The Role:
As part of the Sustainability Operations Team, the intern will gain experience in a dynamic environment with many opportunities to grow your knowledge in the field of Impact and Sustainable Finance. The role requires an analytical as well as dedicated mindset to support and actively contribute to the LuxFLAG Label Operations and research processes, while being guided throughout the internship. He/she will also have the opportunity to work closely with the other departments of LuxFLAG.
Main tasks:
• Take an active role in the quarterly label application review of the applicants’ legal documentation, policies, procedures and portfolio, in compliance with LuxFLAG Labels’ criteria and LuxFLAG methodology and guidelines;
• Prepare the label application review documentation highlighting the assessment performed;
• Support the coordination of the LuxFLAG Eligibility Committees’ proceedings;
• Present the applications reviewed during the quarterly LuxFLAG Eligibility Committees’ meetings;
• Maintain statistics related to labelled funds; and
• Contribute to any other task as may be required.
Your profile – skills and capabilities:
• Second year of Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Business, ideally with a specialisation on Sustainability/Sustainable Finance/Sustainable Development;
• Dynamic, highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitasking.
• Self-motivated, flexible and disciplined with an enthusiastic and positive approach.
• Acquainted with MS Office tools (especially with Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Adherence to the Association’s mission and core values, and strong willingness to work for a non-profit organization.
• Fluency in English both spoken and written; French and/or German or other languages are considered as an asset.
